La Senda Llarga is the name given to part of the traditional path between Aielo de Malferit and CanaIs, known in Aielo as the camí de Montesa. This old communication route is in reality a road that linked the Vall d’Albaida, La Costera and the Canal de Navarrés. For this reason, the stretch between Montesa and Enguera has been known since ancient times as the Enguera-Aielo Cordal. Our route covers the most interesting stretch of this ancient path, the path between El Portalet and Basseta Roja. The route shares the municipalities of CanaIs and Montesa.
