'Els Roders' route

For many centuries, the roads of Barxeta were an obligatory passage for merchants, traders and muleteers, who transported goods from the coast to the interior, mainly to Xàtiva and vice versa. This continuous traffic of goods, livestock and products of all kinds, together with the complex orography of the municipality with its thick forests, caves and ravines, provided an ideal environment for bandits, who assaulted or kidnapped their victims, being able to hide easily. This route, perfectly signposted, follows the old paths of the bandits. An interesting walk through the most beautiful areas of Barxeta.
